Sealing module: PTFE gaskets are generally used for corrosive media conditions; Gaskets for pipe flanges are suitable for occasions with small flange bolt preload, such as glass pipe flanges or other low-strength pipe flanges. The bolt preload can produce large deformation and compress the gasket tightly against the flange. The rubber gasket can only be used under low medium pressure and temperature is not too high under the conditions of use.
The asbestos rubber sealing plate is a rubber sealing plate made of asbestos fiber as the skeleton material, rubber as the binder and inorganic silicate filler. If asbestos fibers and other fibers are not used instead of asbestos, the resulting sealing material will form an asbestos-free rubber seal. There are two main types of asbestos substitute fibers: organic fibers and inorganic fibers. They are widely used in organic fibers and are well used. Other carbon fibers, polyacrylonitrile fibers, phenolic fibers, etc. Inorganic fibers include aluminum silicate fibers, ceramic fibers, glass fibers, rock wool, etc.
The development and application time of asbestos-free rubber gaskets is not long, and there is no unified national and industry standard at home and abroad. Non-asbestos rubber sealing plates have been mass-produced in a small part of sealing material manufacturers in China, and can be reduced to pipe flange gaskets. In addition to the LAF production process, there is also a non-asbestos latex paperboard production process that is also used for pipe flange gaskets.
